We do not place restrictions on visiting times but suggest that visits before 10am and after 9pm should be avoided. Please note that during the coronavirus pandemic special visiting arrangements apply. Please see the “Visiting The Knolls Care Centre” section.
Yes, family interaction is encouraged and staff will do their utmost to facilitate and support any visits and activities with the family/friends.
The Knolls Care Centre has registered double accommodation. On the few occasions when couples are seeking to share accommodation, every effort is made to place them in a double room.
Depending on the government’s lockdown directives and the prevailing health status of the resident population, controlled visits may be allowed. The home always explores all the options, including dedicated and infection secure “bubbles” with strict infection control regimes and compulsory use of the relevant Personal Protective Equipment.
In all circumstances, the home is guided by the best interests of its residents, as advised by the medical organisations. The Knolls Care Centre is “science-led” in the manner in which we protect and care for those in our charge.
The actual weekly fee is dependent on the room selected, the category of care of the potential resident, and the degree of health and personal care required. The pre-admission assessment of needs is carried out by an experienced member of the senior management team and reviewed by the Home’s Registered Manager and Care Manager. Contact us to find out more.
